Circle Lens Journey!

So the thing about circle lenses...they're awesome...thatisall

*wishes she could end a post like that*

Ha! Well I've been wearing lenses for...2 1/2 years now? yea I think so..

I probably should have done a post for all the ones I have gotten until now..derp..

But anyways I bought my first pair through Yesstyle.com

They were Geo XCK105 Super Black  (Fobby Barbie link because I think YesSytle is a bit on the expensive side)

If light is shining in the right place you can see my brown eye color thru them

I really liked these when I first got them..I thought it would be good to start out a little subtle..without any real color...I noticed that when people take a look at me up close they know that something is off but they can't put a finger on it lol thats when I usually have to tell them that I'm wearing lenses..

btw I wore them for a photo shoot because I knew the light would reflect off them perfectly

These were nice but I noticed they fogged up often (maybe oil build up...whatever it was I didn't like it) I think normal life span of all the lenses I've had has been a year but those started doing that at like 2 months.

My 2nd and 3rd pair I got at the same time...

Geo Princess MiMi Chocolate Brown

These were ok..To me they looked so unreal (generally that isn't a problem since they are fake) and my intentions when i bought them were for them to be the more realistic pair since they were brown (supposedly) like my own eyes...I also had a problem with the contacts..they seemed unbalanced on my eyes like...i can't really explain..just not right...

When eyelashes attack!

Geo Princess Mimi Sesame Gray

These by far were my most favorite! I loved the Gray color...other people loved them on me aswell...People mistook them for my own often.

BTW the Geo Princess Mimi Series are 15mm lenses

The last pair i got and have currently are the Geo Princess MiMi Green Apple

These are cool but seem very dark but that could be because of my own eye color...they are like the brown ones in that they are very unrealistic..i thought they would be similar to the the gray ones but they don't seem that way on my eyes :(

BTW Ordering from Fobby Barbie was great and now they have a US warehouse so now you can get some of the orders really quickly!

As far as comfort with my lenses:

Black: 7.5 out of 10  I usually had to reapply them to feel better and often that didn't change the feeling but these were also my first lenses so it just may have been discomfort due to a new experience.

Brown: 10 out of 10

Gray:  10 out of 10                                   THE Geo Princess Mimi Series has been very

                                                                                      comfortable

Green:  10 out of 10

I think the next pair I want to get will be the

Geo Mari Gold Brown

I'm looking for a more realistic looking pair and I think these are perfect!

What do you think? :)

My Birth Story!

I guess I should write about this since there are some people who might be curious.

I've read many birth stories to prepare myself for my own labor and delivery experience. I felt like if I didn't have the pain then the experience was less than what i wanted but I still prepared myself for if I couldn't handle the pain and needed an epidural. I wanted to feel like I conquered something in life since I half-assed any other situation I had before.

So here we go!

It all started 5 o' clock Sunday morning March 3. I was in my 38th week of pregnancy. I woke up feeling low back pain. I thought I was just having braxton hicks (basically fake contractions) so I tried to go back to sleep. I wake up later with another contraction so i stay awake but sitting up in bed to see if they go away by doing that. Well they don't and they kinda hurt more than usual. I try walking around and sitting higher up on the couch. At this point they are coming pretty often so I contact my friend who was also pregnant at the time with her second baby. I am also timing my contractions at this time. I got some advice from her that I may be in labor but not quite sure yet. Soon my contractions started getting farther apart and less painful. At that time I started to feel sad because I had been really anxious for my baby to come and I was really excited. After about 20 min the contractions pick back up with more pain. It was so much pain that i now knew that I was in labor. The pain wasn't unbearable yet but now I had to sit down thru the contractions. At this point I decided to wake up my husband and call my mom. It was probably about 7 o' clock now. I felt like I really needed my mom now more than anything. Happily her phone was on and she was awake. She told me she would be here in about 3hrs since she was in augusta at the time. I got back in contact with my friend (lol she was so hype about me being in labor) and she told me she would find a nurse hotline number for me to call to find out a good time to go to the hospital. After I got done with that I told my husband to run me a hot bath because I heard that can be relaxing during contractions. I sat in the tub for a while and it did make me feel better, but only for a little while. Pain started to get more intense so I hopped out of the tub to get into a more comfortable positions..Unfortunately at this point there is no such thing as a more comfortable position. Earlier I could describe the pain as menstrual lower back pain but now they felt like my lower back muscles were being wrung out like a towel. It hurt so bad but this was only the beginning. At about 10am I was looking forward to my mom coming. She called us for extra directions but at this point it was even hard to talk on the phone so I gave it to my husband but his english isn't that great and its hard to understand for my mom..She ended up getting lost for 30 min or so and that was dreadful to hear since she was in or around the area but not quite here. BTW my mother is a doula....When she finally got here I was on the toilet..felt like i had food poisoning but it was my body getting ready for birth..I had her call the hotline number my friend sent me and they told her that it was probably a good idea to go in and get admitted to the hospital..I was so happy to hear those words.

Off to the Hospital!!

We finally get to the hospital and its hard to even function properly. I give them all my information and they take me to a room to check on the baby heart beat and hook me up to other monitors. I'm in there for about 10 min then we are taken to another room..this would be the room I give birth in...It's about 11:30 or close to 12:00 now. I have to sign all these papers and whatnot and they tell me my options on pain management. She wasn't pushy at all and all the nurses were quite pleasant that day. I think I may have been 5cm dilated at the time..don't remember really..I just absolutely dreaded those cervix checks throughout the day.

Pain Management Choices

Basically you have the choice of epidural or narcotics of some sort. An anesthesiologist has to administer the epidural thru a catheter in your spine using some big ass needle and the narcotics are administered by a nurse after every so thirty minutes to an hour thru your IV. Epidural can completely take the pain away and narcotics just take the edge off. The nurse said that if I wanted narcotics I could have them now but if i wanted an epidural that I would have to wait about 30min..I chose narcotics because my contractions were more intense now and they reached from my back to my pelvis and also because I'm not too fond of needles going into my spine..the pain was causing me to shiver at this point.

Transition.....

Now I really felt like I could die..I was shaking all over and my contractions were lasting longer than before...Its 8pm and i feel like hell...I have been in labor for 15 hrs now and I don't know if I can take it any longer but I still push on..I am about 8-9 cm now..almost there!...At about 8:30pm I'm begging for an epidural but its too late..I'm crying and the massages my mom was giving aren't really working anymore..the nurses come in at about 9:00pm to check my cervix but I haven't really progressed since before..the doctor tells me my baby is in distress and that its time to push..they start setting up the table and everything...I am scared....Now I'm in push position. I have to push through a cervix that isn't completely open and I don't even have the urge to push..this is gonna be interesting..They tell me to push through each contraction..that was painful and I felt like I was getting nowhere..all the while the doctor has her hand in my vagina..they tell me they are gonna need a vacuum to get him out and I think what a relief because I don't think I can push any harder..I don't remember when they used the vacuum but I do remember my skin giving way because the doctor gave me an episiotomy..she basically cut from the opening of my vagina to my asshole..Then all of a sudden the baby came out! I think my mom started crying or she was crying beforehand (husband was there too)..All I could say was "Oh my God!" 5x....I don't really remember the cutting of the cord but I'm sure it happened or he still would be attached to me..My husband went to see the baby while I got all stitched up..First time I got stitches and def didn't think my vagina would be the first place I would get them haha..after all that I got to hold my little baby Ian

Leggings Haul!!

A couple days ago I bought some nice leggings from a lady who sold from her home. She sold nothing but that actually.. Since I'm pregnant I need more comfy clothes so leggings seemed like a good idea. I got 4 pairs and i plan to get more. Two are cable knit style and have felted inner linings so they were warm and soft, and they had wide waist bands. They stretch pretty far so it's great for when i get bigger.

The next ones are designed with mesh.

The first one is mesh in the front and regular black in the back..They are nice and very stylish but they don't stretch that far despite being a L/XL.

The second one barely stretches at all but i really liked that they were design like footless stockings with shorts attached. L/XL aswell.

Say cheese Pep' lol

New Puppy Pepper!

About 2 weeks ago we added a new addition to our little family. Her name is Pepper and she's a 4 month old Doxie (dachshund).

The day we got her i was mad with my husband so he left and came back with a puppy lol

She has such a personality, but such a scaredy cat lol...She is just the most adorable thing with her huge ears.. I fell in love with her immediately, and for a good reason too-we are just alike..We love to sleep and we are a bit stubborn, but sweet as ever and easy lovers..

I don't think i have ever felt so strongly about an animal before until now..When i was younger i wasn't a very good owner to my former dogs and i feel bad for that because they suffered a lot with me..Now i think its coming back to bite me because Pepper causes me so much anxiety because i'm scared she's gonna get into trouble and hurt herself..Much like a child i guess...She's horribly ADD at this age which is totally normal but drives me crazy lol..She can get so distracted sometimes..I think i would have horrible separation anxiety if i'm not around to supervise because my husband doesn't do a good job watching over her (or maybe I'm too protective lol).. Hopefully this will provide me the skills with taking care of my baby in the future!

Pregnancy

Well if its not already known, I'm pregnant. 19 weeks to sorta be exact. I'm just now starting to feel the baby move so that's awesome. I'm finally showing now also. I don't know what i was expecting in earlier months but it was quite uneventful until now.

In the earlier months the only thing that reminded me i was preggo was the constant break outs and morning sickness (really all day sickness). I was having the worst time in the beginning. My weight was getting very low and I couldn't eat anything and if i did i would puke it all up. Not to mention the horrible migraines and headaches i was getting also. It felt like i was waiting forever to at least get to this moment where i wasn't feeling sick and able to regain my energy.

I don't really feel like i'm in the position to be someones mother but I don't have a choice now at this moment. I just gotta prepare with the remaining months i have left until the baby comes. At least i'm not on my own. I have a loving husband and these days some women don't even have that. Hopefully i will get that epiphany later when i really realize I'm having a baby and start doing my wifely and motherly duties without complaining..Until then I'm gonna  take care of myself and go with the flow of things.. Wish me luck!!

BTW Its a BOY!

My New Wig!

Just received my new wig from Ebay.  It took about 2 weeks to get to me coming from China. It was advertised as a Clair Beauty Wig I don't think it was.

Doesn't look like what i thought a Clair Beauty tag would look like..

Despite it being not what I thought it was, i still found things I liked about it. After all brand isn't everything.

Doesn't look half bad really

It was very shiny but the color was nice. I think it is along the lines of a 4/30 mix and a kind of ombre color style (light towards the bottom) or maybe it was just an illusion caused by the lighting. It shed quite a lot the first time i wore it and brushed it (hope its a good brush I'm using).

It's a really nice length, but I hated going outside with it because hair got everywhere and it annoys the hell outta me..Maybe i should use some product to keep it from getting like that.

Test run at Korean Fest!

All in all the wig was nice and I liked it. After all it was only $20 so you can't go wrong lol.  I don't have much experience with wigs despite working in a Beauty  Supply store in the past.

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner....

Well I ordered my Dolly Wink Deep Black Liquid eyeliner on Saturday at about 2am and i got it today! (Monday)

well the girls were right it is some damn cute packaging

Yup Coz I can totally read this...lol

Almost the size of a writing pen
The Tip is hella thin

The lines you can make..
It was still there when I licked it (yea i kno thats gross but at least its Dog proof : D) and when i  ran water over it...it comes straight off with makeup remover tho so that's good

NOW I AM NO MAKEUP GURU SO BEWARE OF THIS PIC!!!!

End result....

My overall thoughts on this product is:

  • It takes some time to get used to if you aren't used to using something this thin
  • Great waterproof/oil proof (for oily skin)...you can probably go swimming with it on lol
  • It's not blacker than my ruby kisses gel liner as i would like but for someone way lighter than me then its perfect
  • Would invest in the pencil liner if its as waterproof as the liquid
  • It's the most expensive liner I have bought so far (about $20)
